If you have recently moved from another state and have an active CNA certification, you must apply to the State of Florida Board of Nursing for FL certification. During the time while you are awaiting receipt of the Florida certification, you may be allowed to work for 120 days under reciprocity.

Provides patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health and social needs, comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid and elimination needs. May have access to and transport non-controlled medications as directed.

SHIFT DIFFERENITALS AS APPLICABLE FOR EVENING AND NIGHT
Education: High school or equivalent preferred. CNA required.
Training: Completion of a state approved CNA education program required. A course which offers 120 hours or more with clinical training in a hospital and/or nursing home is strongly preferred.
License: Florida CNA Certification which is current and in good standing or a CNA license active in another state and able to obtain Florida license under reciprocity.
BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthprovider certification through American Heart Association. *This is not basic CPR.
Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required. Knowledge of medical terminology. Epic (electronic medical records) experience a plus
