SEEKING APPLICATIONS AND NOMINATIONS FOR: Chief Quality Officer, Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, Vice Chair for Quality, Safety and Service, Department of Pediatrics of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center (JHCC) has a century long tradition of delivering research-based, cutting-edge medicine for children throughout the world and has 17 clinical sites. With this leadership search, we seek a Chief Quality Officer to facilitate our commitment to advancing pediatrics and international excellence through innovative scientific research, education, and clinical excellence. The Chief Quality Officer will represent the needs and requirements of the professional staff and the hospital, serve as an advocate for excellent, safe clinical care and develop scholarly work in Quality and Safety. The Chief Quality Officer (CQO) reports to the co-directors of the JHCC and the Director of The Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality, and is a key member of the senior management team. The CQO also works in partnership with the JHCC Chief Medical Officer, other Quality and Safety leaders, nursing and other hospital leaders to provide safe and efficient patient care. The successful applicant will be charged with creating the vision for and leading and monitoring quality care in the JHCC and other Johns Hopkins Pediatrics clinical sites. An institutional commitment to resources will support a new CQO who should also possess a strong passion for innovative leadership and a proven track record for scholarly advancements in Quality and Safety. Applicants should have experience in Quality and Safety and eligible for licensure in the State of Maryland. The academic appointment will be commensurate with the individual’s experience.
