Clinical Nurse Educator Responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of unit/department based nursing educational initiatives to ensure the provision of high quality, cost-effective patient care. This position is filled by an advanced practice nurse who, as a result of educational and in-depth clinical experience in designated area of specialty nursing, possesses the advanced knowledge and necessary clinical skills to provide unit/department based nursing education, orientation, and on-boarding; applies expert knowledge to act as a change agent, role model and leader for quality nursing care; guides nurses on the care of patients within the specific patient population; ensures quality focused and cost-effective education and care delivery outcomes; utilizes theory, research, evidenced-based research and guidelines, and specialized knowledge to plan care for the specific patient population; collaborates to enhance quality of care; interprets, evaluates and communicates research findings; and participates in continuous quality improvement activities.
