The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners responsibilities include, but are not limited to the care of patients admitted to the Acute Rehab Unitwithin the guidelines of the ANCC and the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Based on a specialized knowledge base, the CRNP designs, implements and evaluates standards of practice that improve the delivery of high quality, comprehensive care to individuals, families and the community. The CRNP will provide on-going medical management for acute/episodic, rehabilitation patients and acute interventions for patients in the post acute care setting. The CRNP will work as a member of the interdisciplinary team to effectively designate processes for meeting the medical, psychosocial and spiritual care needs of the patient. The CRNP will develop updates and evaluate medical treatment plans, medications, and other necessary care. The CRNP is a position that includes the traditional components of patient care, consultation, research utilization, leadership and education with the aims of developing practice standards, contributing to the professional development of others and shaping nursing practice within the organization.
Self-motivated, functions independently. A comprehensive knowledge base to coordinate both clinical and education activities in major area of clinical specialization. Requires frequent use of independent judgment in clinical setting in evaluating and treating patients withmedical problems. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
Graduate of an accredited NP program, required
Current Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse Licenses in Pennsylvania, required Maintain prescriptive authority and Collaborative Practice Agreement through the state of Pennsylvania Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Preferred: Acute Rehab or Skilled Nursing Facility experience
