POSITION SUMMARY: Seeking a dynamic Audiologist (AuD Preferred) to provide comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological services to infants, children and adults, including recommendations regarding management and/or further evaluation as indicated. This position is a part of the Carondelet Neurological Balance Center which provides best practice audiology and physical therapy assessment and treatment to patients diagnosed with Vestibular Dysfunction
Perform a skilled evaluation with interpretation of the findings that relate to functional and measured deficits. Develop habilitation or rehabilitation plan and/or make recommendations for care based on evaluation findings. Perform all job duties in a safe manner with respect to personal safety of self and others. Follow established policy and procedures for care, maintenance and operation of equipment. Demonstrate understanding and apply knowledge of medical conditions related to treatment that may impact treatment. Utilize time management skills and flexibility to provide optimal care within specific environment and the Network. Insure adequate and efficient patient coverage. Utilize strategies for resource management and delegation. Effectively involve and educate patient and caregivers in the plan of care. Incorporate clinical trends and make adjustments and recommendations to ensure cost-effective delivery of care/services. Respond to the needs and expectations of internal and external customers (patients, partners, stakeholders, payors, physicians, staff, volunteers, visitors, families, students and instructors, etc.); provide feedback to managers/ coordinators regarding the needs and expectations of customers. Document evaluations and recommendations that relate to clinical findings. Demonstrate evidence of patient/caregiver and team involvement/collaboration. Document change of status in patient condition or physician orders. Promote the facilitation of continuity of care. Document in a timely, comprehensive manner. Use acceptable abbreviations/terminology. Document in a grammatically correct, neat and legible manner. Serve as a preceptor/mentor for students and staff, as appropriate. Provide clinical support for staff throughout the Network related to area of practice. Have knowledge of and model the Code of Ethics and practice standards of specific area and the Network. Identify problems, formulate strategies and utilize to facilitate solutions in area of practice and specific environment. Delegate tasks to facilitate patient care. Demonstrate active participation in activities within specific environment. Serve as a liaison advocate with all staff, clients/patients and management. Have knowledge of and adhere to policies and procedures within specific environment. Contribute to the enhancement of programs/services within specific environment. Actively participate in quality processes. Effectively respond to the needs and expectations of customers.
Qualifications: Education Required: Masterï¿½s degree or higher in Audiology Licensure Required: Valid state license for audiology & hearing aid dispensing ï¿½AZ Dept. of Health Services / Division of Licensing Services Preferred: One year clinical audiology experience Skills Required: Verbal and written communication skills; manual dexterity to operate diagnostic equipment and handle hearing aids Knowledge Required: Current knowledge of Audiology theory and practice Technology Required: Basic computer skills Preferred: Familiar with vestibular diagnostic equipment and current hearing aid technology Preferred: Bilingual English / Spanish
