The Patient Placement Coordinatorcoordinates the placement of all admissions (elective and emergent) and transfers in accordance with clinical standards and guidelines and with the Hospitalpolicies.
This position works in conjunction with physicians and hospital staff to prioritize admissions to the most appropriate bed available based on medical needs and admission criteria and communicates with all departmentsas appropriate to maximize efficiency and expedite the admission, transfer, anddischarge processes.
Responsible for the coordination of bed resources to facilitate patient flow throughout the organization in order to promote continuity of care on all medical-surgical, critical care, specialty units, Emergency Department, Transitional Care, and Rehabilitation Center.
Weekend and holiday rotation required.
RN; Minimum of 5 years progressive acute care clinical experience required. Emergency or Critical Care nursing experience preferred.
