JOB TITLE: Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Urgent Care
LOCATION: Bellefonte, PA

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday - 9 AM - 8 PM
Saturday/Sundays - 8 AM - 6 PM
WORK TYPE: Full time – Outpatient only - Experienced

Geisinger Careworks clinicians diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more. They also provide routine health exams, immunizations, screenings and wellness services. Services at some clinics may also include x-ray, EKG, IV hydration, and phlebotomy. Careworks consists of 18 clinic sites throughout central, south-western and northeast Pennsylvania and is seeking experienced nurse practitioner and physician assistant to join our growing team.
The ideal Geisinger Careworks candidates will:
·Take responsibility and ownership of their site
·Possess strong interpersonal skills
·Have excellent prioritizing and multi-tasking abilities
·Have urgent care experience and the ability perform procedures such as suturing and splinting
Advanced practitioners must have at least six months of primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care or critical care advanced practice professional experience and able to treat patients age one and older.
The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure.
The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
