Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is a perioperative nurse who may function as an assistant to the surgeon in the operating room during surgical procedures. The RNFA performs first assistant behaviors according to standardized hospital policies. Participates as a leader in departmental performance improvement activities and tabulation. Presentation at committee meetings when requested. Member of the Interdisciplinary council of the hospital to lend support of the role.
Qualifications:
Requirement: Current CA RN license Current BLS & ACLS 6 months experience as a peri-operative nurse and complete peri-op course Able to circulate all cases Basic computer skills Completion of basic dysrhythmia course
