JOB TITLE: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Women's Health LOCATION: American Office Center DEPARTMENT: Center for Womens Health & Wellness WORK SCHEDULE: Days WORK TYPE: Full Time
JOB SUMMARY: Provides primary clinical support to the provider, patient and their family to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition. Follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing of same in medical record to ensure continuity and quality of care. Promotes a clean environment. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age range on their assigned clinical area. Works under the general direction of the Site Lead for daily operational issues. Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient satisfaction.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Demonstrates flexibility in response to unexpected changes in workload, staffing and scheduling. Demonstrates ability to maintain BLS Certification every two years. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient. Demonstrates effective oral, written and computer communication skills. Demonstrates a willingness to work in a team environment. Demonstrates flexibility and ability to maintain patient confidentiality. Demonstrates communication that supports a culture of Service Excellence. Demonstrates good organizational skills and effective communication skills.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduate of accredited nursing program, current PA license or eligible for licensure. Must be qualified to pass medications. Must be BLS certified. One year prior medical/surgical or clinic related experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
