Nemours is seeking a PC Support Tech (Road Tech), Full-Time, to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.

Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the area’s only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve, we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout the region.
The PC Technician's role is to support and maintain Nemours-computer systems and peripherals. This includes installing, repairing, upgrading, replacing and maintaining hardware/software and peripheral equipment. Provide operational support for PC’s laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and repair of in house patient facing entertainment systems. This position will primarily receive customer incident and request tickets assigned by the Service Desk. Managing tickets with in agreed SLA’s and communicating regular updates and progress with customers is a necessary component of this position. This role will require developing knowledge of unique or uncommon technical systems across the Hospital/Clinical environment.
Install, maintain and repair Desktop related equipment and software (PCs, workstations, peripherals, laptops, printers, Mobile devices, etc) used across the enterprise
Coordinate with other IS teams seamlessly to ensure quality customer support
Engage appropriate vendors to repair warranty items in a timely manner
Recommend and compile specifications for computer hardware and software
Perform On-Call and Downtime Desktop rotations as appropriate
Accurately document tickets for instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal
Perform Desktop related equipment relocation as assigned
Receive and utilize Asset management processes to insure accurate recording of company resources, configure and deploy IS hardware
Partnering with Change and Release Management, Multimedia Technician, Service Desk to address hardware software testing and evaluation, including new technologies
Functional understanding of current operating systems, networks, printing technologies, and general Information systems hardware workflows
Create maintain and update existing work instruction to provide clear workflows and repeatable quality outcomes
Work with all areas of Information Systems to improve processes and communication.
Assist in the development of team goals and actively support them.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Associate's Degree preferred, however, equivalent work experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
Minimum of 1 year of prior experience required.
Approximately 80% travel required to satellite locations within Central Florida.
Must have a clean driving record.
Excellent team collaboration and interpersonal skills.
Able to work with a minimum of supervision.
Possess Excellent customer service skills.
Clear, analytical thinking driving towards problem resolution.
Technology oriented and well versed.
