The Medic performs routine patient-centered activities for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in the Emergency Department setting according to established policies and procedures in a manner conducive to the safety and comfort of the patient, as assigned.
Education: - High school diploma or GED required - Completion of course of study appropriate to the skills of paramedic conducted by an accredited college or school - Exhibits proficiency in pre-hospital care and oral communication skills
Experience: - No pre-hospital experience is required but is desired Licenses/Certificates: - Paramedic certification required by PA - Valid PA driver's license with emergency vehicle operator's certificate - BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required - Hazmat awareness, NIMS 700, 800, 100 and 200
