Directs and supervises support staff of the Geisinger Medical Groups.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of Geisinger Health System in its efforts to provide quality service and patient satisfaction.
Works under the general direction of the Manager, Clinic Operations and is accountable to site Medical Lead.

CLINICAL POLICIES AND STANDARDS-Knowledge of and ability to use industry standards, policies and procedures relevant to function and organization.
PATIENT ASSESSMENT AND CARE-Knowledge of and ability to assess ailments and injuries of patients and implement a treatment plan.
HEALTHCARE KNOWLEDGE-Knowledge of the operating principles, major issues, governmental regulations, and code of ethics for the healthcare industry; ability to apply this understanding appropriately to healthcare related situations.
PATIENT RIGHTS-Knowledge of principles and practices associated with the rights and responsibilities of patients and caregivers.
PATIENT SAFETY-Knowledge of the risks faced by patients in a healthcare environment, and the ability to take steps to reduce these risks.
LEADERSHIP-Demonstrates independent initiatives.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS-Demonstrates oral, written, and electronic communication skills.
COMPUTER SKILLS-Demonstrates basic navigation in a windows environment, and passwords and security. Accesses the internet, uses basic browser functionality, and understands policy on Internet usage. Demonstrates the ability to compose, send and read emails, understands email functionality and conventions related to replying.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of accredited nursing program. Current PA practical nurse license or eligible for licensure required.
Must be qualified to pass medications.
BLS certification required.
Three to five years clinic nursing experience required with one of those years in a supervisory role.
Associate's Degree preferred.
Cadence and EPIC experience preferred.
