The Heart Program Coordinator is a professional nurse who has the authority and responsibility to monitor Heart or Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) patient care through hospitalization, focusing on quality and processes. The coordinator participates in a leadership role in the hospital and community. The coordinator monitors and participates in compliance with regulatory agencies. The Coordinator tracks disease specific programs (Heart) for compliance and process improvement. The coordinator educates staff, patients and practitioners on the requirement related to the Disease Specific program certifications. Responsible for PI/data collection related to disease specific programs. Responsible for the oversight of the Disease Specific Program to assure accurate documentation and compliance. Responsible for development and updates of internal Policies and Procedures.
Required: Graduate of accredited school of nursing and/or accredited school of radiology and/or accredited school of cardiovascular technology. Preferred: Bachelors degree preferred
Required: 2 years in cardiac catheterization and special procedures Preferred: 1 year management
Required: RNs must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy, ARRT, ACVT or RCIS; BLS; ACLS; Preferred: LMRT
