Registered Nurse – Akers Specialty Care Center - Visalia, CA
Valley Children's Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Akers Specialty Care Center located in Visalia, CA. Valley Children’s Healthcare has been caring for children from Tulare County since we opened our hospital doors in 1952. As we follow our vision to improve access to all children in the Central Valley, we extended our pediatric specialty care services into Visalia. Children receive the specialized pediatric care they need closer to home at Akers Specialty Care Center.
The Registered Nurse is accountable for accountable for providing competent nursing care and is responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes.
Graduation from a nursing program along with an active California RN license, Bachelor's degree (BSN is preferred)
Minimum 6 months full time or equivalent nursing experience required with pediatric experience preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days of hire or transfer into the position.
Focused Pediatric Resuscitation (Valley Children's specific certification) required within 12 months of hire or transfer into position.

Additional Salary Information: Hours, Compensation and Benefits: This is a full time position, 80 hours per 2-week pay period, Monday through Friday and off on holidays and weekends. This position offers a robust benefit plan and a competitive salary that is based on experience.
