This Manager Therapeutic and Rehabilitative Services is responsible for team leadership, management and ongoing development and retention of qualified multidisciplinary clinical staff for Therapeutic & Rehabilitative Services at the Cherry Hill, NJ location.. Responsible for supervision of associates, ensuring proper staffing and patient flow, supporting family centered care, general service operations and customer satisfaction. Works closely with nursing units and Specialty care Divisions in identifying opportunities to improve services, makes recommendations and implements actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals for the hospital and Nemours Foundation. Oversees and facilitates implementation of strategic initiatives. In conjunction with Operations Director, prepares budgets, monitors financial performance for the department.
As per license requirements on a limited basis, the position may provide evaluation, treatment and consultation to patients under the prescription of a physician within the guidelines designated by department and hospital policy and procedures. Mandatory core and annual competencies when appropriate.
State of DE or NJ licensure as a fully qualified therapist. Second license will be required after hire.
3 years Management experience preferred.
1. Provides supervisory management of multidisciplinary team members, which may include
Audiology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology, Assistive
Technology and/or Support Staff.
2. Facilitates communication and team building of the multidisciplinary team, including facilitating
a collaborative and supportive relationship between key departments. 3. Applies human resources policies and practices to associates, including hiring, evaluations, and
promotions and coaching/counseling.
4. Assures all associates are appropriately oriented to the hospital and departmental policies and
procedures. 5. In collaboration with the management team identifies the need for and arranges to provide
education and training programs for associates, and assures compliance with completion of all
annual mandatory in-service programs as required by hospital policy and all regulatory agencies
(i.e. The Joint Commission, CARF). 6. Determines the need for and allocation of staffing, space, fiscal and material resources for
assigned areas. Purchases equipment for the department. 7. Demonstrates strong cost conscious awareness by analyzing service expenditures, effectively
utilizing staff and supplies. Collaborates with the Director for budget development. 8. Increases the awareness of Therapeutic & Rehabilitative Services offerings through active
involvement in community programs/committees and other related associations. 9. Represents Therapeutic & Rehabilitative Services when serving on committees and ensures
collaboration with other departments.
10. Completes rounding on direct reports and patient rounding activities
