Duke Homecare & Hospice offers hospice, home health and infusion services. Hospice care is offered to terminally ill patients in their home, skilled-nursing facilities, assisted-living facilities, and at our two inpatient facilities located in Hillsborough and Durham, North Carolina. Duke Nursing Highlights:
The Clinical Nurse III provides leadership at the unit level. The CNIII independently and creatively implements the nursing process for individual patients and identifies needs and plans care for unit patient populations. The CNIII is positive during changes and supports growth of peers. The CNIII is able to effectively communicate with all members of the health care team. General Description of the Job Class Plan and provide advanced and/or specialized nursing care for patients in accordance with guidelines established within the Discipline of Nursing Clinical Ladder Program; participate in educational activities, departmental committees, research projects or other health related projects as assigned. Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum Qualifications Education Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date. Experience Requires two years of appropriate clinical experience. In addition to the education and experience noted above, applicants must meet all requirements set forth by the Nursing Clinical Ladder Program for the level III. Degrees, Licensures, Certifications Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
