Overview The Nursing Station Technician is a hybrid position consisting of both Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles to deliver direct patient care and administrative duties. In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fasted paced unit. Successful candidates will be required to possess an active status on the Nursing Assistant Registry and current Basic Life Support Certification by their first day. Student nurses who have completed two semesters of clinicals and will be completing and passing the Nursing Assistant registry exam within 6 months of hire will also be qualified. Preferred candidates will have previous experience as a Health Unit Coordinator, Nursing Assistant, or other related experience. Candidates must possess exceptional communication skills such as clear speech, ability to read, legible handwriting, and strong computer skills. Knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, and hospital procedures is required.
