Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN 2 Hendersonville
JOB SUMMARY:
Supports the licensed healthcare team members in the provision of patient care to include direct patient care, providing healthcare information to patients/families, and following established plan of care. Works in close collaboration with the RN or a licensed healthcare team member to evaluate the patient's plan of care and progress toward goal attainment. All patient care activities are undertaken with the delegation/supervision of a licensed professional in accordance with VUMC standards and licensure regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with patients/families and health care providers in the delivery of health care services.
- Partners with the healthcare team by following established plan of care to ensure patient progress for effective outcomes.
- Support plans to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.

Unit Summary:
Welcome to the Vanderbilt Internal Medicine Clinic and Pediatrics Practice. The clinic is located in Medical Center East (7th floor), North Tower, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. We provide primary care and consultation services for patients in Adult Internal Medicine as well as sub-specialties in Pediatrics, Acute Medicine, Palliative Care and Geriatrics. There are four Suites (Suites 1 - 4) with a total of 44 exam rooms, including 4 treatment rooms. The patient volume for the overall practice is, approximately, 50,000 visits annually.
Our excellent, service-oriented patient care is directed and/or delivered by the collaborative, team-focused efforts of an interdisciplinary healthcare provider team including Attending Physicians, Intern and Resident Physicians and Fellows. The Leadership Team is comprised of a Medical Director, a Clinic Manager, an Administrative Manager, a Charge Nurse and an Administrative Assistant. Clinic staff members include Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, Medical Assistants, and Patient Services Representatives. Various support resources are also available, such as, social work, referral specialists, laboratory and radiology.
