The Assistant Vice President, Nursing & Patient Services (AVP) at the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital (BMSCH) at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) will be a professional registered nurse (RN) who functions as the senior nurse leader of BMSCH, member of the BMSCH executive leadership team and member of the senior nursing administration group of RWJUH. The AVP is responsible for developing, assessing, planning, implementing, directing, and evaluating patient care to ensure the highest quality of care is provided in a cost-effective manner throughout BMSCH. The AVP works with unit/program leaders to maximize team member engagement and the patient experience. The AVP is responsible for maintaining regulatory agency standards of care and ANA Standards of Nursing Practice within areas of responsibility.

Experience:
Education: A master's degree in nursing is required. An M.H.A., M.B.A., and/or doctoral degree in nursing or in active pursuit of a doctoral degree is a plus. Nursing certification in associated specialty expected.
Licensure: Eligibility for a State of New Jersey RN License.
Physical Demands: A physical condition is required that permits reaching and mobility around the entire institution. Interact vision and speech is required as well as hearing sufficient to perform essential job responsibilities. In addition, must be able to function under rapidly changing and stressful conditions.
Environmental Conditions: Exposure to blood, excrement, and odors. Exposure to infection and communicable diseases.
