Position Summary The Manager of Case Management oversees and manages the case management department operations to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness. Reviews performance data and reporting to monitor and measure productivity. Monitors performance and provides mentorship and leadership to the team. Recognizes trends in barriers to care coordination and strategizes and executes remediation plans. Monitors and disseminates regulatory changes impacting the revenue cycle. The employee will support MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center's straategic plan and demonstrates active participation in Lean initiatives for continuous performance improvement, patient safety and patient centered care. Under the direction of the Director of Case Management, the Manager of Case Management (UM) provides overall (24/7) management of the department. Responsibilities include: planning, organizing, staffing, and directing and controlling care coordination activities. The Manager is responsible for providing oversight and broad direction to the UM department which includes care coordination, utilization review, and discharge planning. The Manager works closely with the medical staff and LBMC leadership to identify patient care needs. The Manager is responsible for ensuring delivery of quality patient care in compliance with all regulations, adherence to hospital policies and procedures, and overseeing customer service, patient satisfaction, and staff performance and competence.
