This position will be located at the Omaha Division of the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System. **This position may be filled by a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Social Worker, or Recreation Therapist. If you are interested in the other disciplines, you will need to apply to that vacancy announcement.** Duties include: Oversees the daily operations of the Integrative Health & Wellness programs, Well-being Center, and Health Promotion programs. Independently handles major office issues. Managing an interdisciplinary team of individuals, who will develop and expand integrative health services within NWI, including but not limited to mindful movement practices such as Yoga and Tai Chi, biofeedback, mindfulness classes, meditation practices, Veteran engagement, acupuncture, and health education groups. Implements program processes developed and designed to enhance the experience of Veterans, 'their caregivers and visitors to meet the mission of VHA and the facility. Oversees the scheduling of referred Veterans and service provision of integrative health interventions. Develop and maintain outstanding working relationships with staff in all departments and service lines throughout all NWI facilities. Participates in strategic planning, marketing, outreach, proposal development, and grant facilitation, as well as facilitates the activation of special Whole Health, Health Promotion, and Integrative Health projects across the hospital. Monitors outcomes using a data driven quality assurance process of a program that delivers specialized, complex, and highly professional services that directly impact Whole Health, Health Promotion, and Integrative Health programming throughout NWI Develops performance standards and evaluates work performance of subordinates. Provides leadership, guidance, and consultation on staff wellness education and development, and manages an employee wellness program that provides massage, acupuncture, yoga, and health education for staff Has direct responsibility for all aspects of psychological services in the program, including those conducted by trainees and staff. Responsible for the development and execution of a Whole Health Business Plan for NWI. Serves in a supportive role with the NWI Psychology Training Program, assisting with didactic training and supplemental supervision as appropriate. Collaborates with other Whole Health System Directors, VISN leadership, and VA Central Office (OPCC&CT) staff on program development issues.
