The RN position operates in a mental health outpatient setting as part of an interdisciplinary team where coordination of patient care and provision of direct mental health care is the focus for our unique veteran population. The RN position works closely in a partnership model with the psychiatry team which may include attending physicians as well as psychiatry residents. The RN position duties may include injection clinics, phone triage, coordination of care for acute inpatient hospitalizations, safety planning, response to and coordination of care for medication management patients, and many other opportunities for multidisciplinary team collaboration. She or He must demonstrate sound interpersonal skills and leadership abilities, demonstrate the ability to collaborate within a team framework as well as manage patients independently, and demonstrate high-level problem-solving skills and crisis management skills, while being flexible and adaptable to the ever-changing demands of a mental health clinic. Occasional travel between the NEWAC MHOP clinics may be required for coverage. Work Schedule: 8 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
